Did You Know?

The Bank of Canada has begun circulating it's new $100 polymer bank notes. The $50 note will be circulated sometime in March 2012, while the remaining denominations of the new bills (starting with the $20 note) will be circulated by the end of 2013. Polymer notes are even more secure, durable, and smooth than the existing paper notes and are expected to last 2.5 times longer, reducing future print runs/costs and environmental impact. For more information, visit www.bankofcanada.ca/banknotes.
